Empowering Youth & Building the Future of the Kurdistan Region
In today’s rapidly changing world, economic growth depends on more than natural resources — it thrives on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the ability of young people to turn bold ideas into sustainable ventures. In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), this potential is immense, but many students face a challenge: while universities provide strong academic knowledge, opportunities to apply entrepreneurial and employability skills in real-world settings remain limited. The CoCreateMyCity (CCMC) Kurdistan Region of Iraq program, a collaborative initiative by Wedo, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), was designed to bridge this gap. By connecting universities, the private sector, and youth, CCMC empowers young people to transform challenges into business opportunities that directly contribute to the region’s economic development.
